Unlike all great stories, my entry into the industry wasn’t exactly dramatic. I played football to a decent level for Kent County and wanted to become a professional, but when that dream faded, I turned to the only other thing I enjoyed at school, making short horror films in media studies. Young man fails to make it as a footballer and pivots to film…highly original, I know.
Instead of going down the football coaching route, I realised that a fast‑paced production environment suited me. I’ve always been great with people, allergic to monotony, and naturally creative…all traits that seemed a perfect match for a career in broadcast.
After graduating at Southampton Solent with a solid 2:1, feeling slightly disappointed with the lack of bunting for my homecoming...I went on the hunt for my first break in TV. Armed with a list of London production company addresses and a printed stack of CVs, I knocked on doors and pressed countless industrial loft conversion buzzers until someone said yes. That “in” came with "Good Chef, Bad Chef"(Ch4, 2014), a factual entertainment series, produced by Betty, where independent fast‑food chefs trained in Michelin‑starred restaurants. Turns out I had a knack for finding great characters with strong backstories.
Eager to operate a camera, I transitioned to being on location, working as a Shooting Researcher on the returning, bespoke cake design series "Choccywoccydoodah" (UKTV, 2015) produced by Two Four. Three months of sofa surfing in Brighton later, I’d earned my first location stripes.
Jump forward ten years, and here we are - a career producing and directing content across range of unscripted genres, working with top sporting, musical and presenter talent, collaborating with brilliant crews and continuing to relish new creative opportunities.
DIRECTOR
Significant experience leading crews as well as directing larger-scale multi-camera sequences in the UK and abroad. I pride myself on a calm and collaborative approach whilst delivering strong visuals.
PRODUCER
Natural storyteller who works confidently with a wide range of contributors and talent. I excel in situations that require excellent editorial judgement and clear communication.
VIDEOGRAPHER
Advanced shooter on a range of cameras and lenses proven across various scenarios. Able to execute various filming techniques plus lighting and editing skills. I’m always looking to elevate visuals within budget and seek out interesting, dynamic frames on location.
